Hi, I'm James Warren, or 'Jimmy' as many of you know me!
I'm a happy, friendly and dynamic Commercial & Personal Brand Photographer based in Northampton. I thrive on capturing customers business and personal stories, in an impactful, engaging and relatable way to their audiences.
The Beginnings
I've always had a creative eye. Growing up, I would draw from still life or copy from books and magazines, before, during and after school. I would also play as much football as possible, or any sport for that matter.
With a focus on the creative rather than the sport, I began to learn more about Art, Graphics and Advertising (inc. Film) in school, College and University.
Following University, I took a break from creativity and became of Post person. The joy of early mornings, the golden hour sun, meeting new people on a daily basis when handing them their mail and parcels, was truly a satisfying experience. With a transfer to East London, I enjoyed another 2 years of this role before an opportunity arose to get back into the creative world, within TV & Film. I learnt the art of motion story telling via film editing and colour grading in Soho for The Farm Group (now known as Picture Shop).

Moved to Pinewood Studios a few years later, as a Head of Production & Client Services for a brand integration and marketing agency. Working with brands such Diageo, P&G, Wrigley, Samsonite, McLaren and BlackBerry, we produced placement campaigns with leading US & UK TV shows and Hollywood films, receiving an Award for our work with 'The Theory of Everything' in 2014.

A very rewarding period which made me take note of the importance of telling, and selling, a brand story through a series of motion and still images.
Made In Northampton
Moved to Northampton in 2012, and wanted to be closer to my family with our daughter being born, so started work at a local web agency as Media Director in 2017. This led to the idea of starting my own business, with the aim of helping more local businesses create their own visual stories and content. And expanding my network with local creatives to work on a number of collaborative projects.
...and hence where I am today.
